About the Role

We're looking for a Lead Designer to shape the product experience at Ravenna. You'll own the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to high-fidelity execution and implementation. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our platform, balancing beautiful craft with practical problem-solving.

In this role, you'll own everything design for the company and set the bar for quality. You'll collaborate directly with the founders, engineering, and product teams to transform complex technical challenges into intuitive, elegant experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Own Product Design: Lead the full design process from discovery and research through prototyping, testing, and launch across Ravenna.
• Build Design Systems: Create and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency and accelerates product development.
• Conduct User Research: Talk to users, run usability tests, and translate insights into actionable design decisions that improve the product.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with engineering and product to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
• Establish Design Culture: Define design processes, tools, and standards that will scale as the team grows.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, interaction design, and product thinking. Preferably experience at a high-growth startup or fast-paced product company.
• End-to-end expertise - you're comfortable with the full design process from user research through toto high-fidelity UI design and working with engineers on implementation.
• Systems thinker - you design for scale, creating patterns and components that work across products rather than one-off solutions.
• User-focused - you ground design decisions in user needs and data, not personal preference, and you're passionate about solving real problems.
• Excellent communicator & collaborator - you can articulate design rationale, give and receive feedback constructively, and rally teams around a shared vision.
• Tool fluency - you're proficient in Figma and other modern design tools, and you stay current with design trends and best practices.
